What is the Difference Between Safety and Security Film?
Safety Film is generally 2mm to 4mm thick and is used primarily for the following:
- Human Impact
- Thrown Objects - Baseballs, Golf Balls, Other Items
- Tree branches from storms or heavy winds
- High threat situations (US Department of Defense uses for their buildings)
- Bomb Blast
- Security for businesses
The International Window Film Association is a great website too if you are looking for more information regarding safety/security films.
