Energy Efficient Window Film

Energy Efficient Window Film

The U.S. Dept. of Energy estimates that during the summer up to 60% of a home’s cooling energy is lost through its windows and during the winter up to 25% of a home’s heating energy is lost through its windows. LLumar and Vista Window Film saves energy by reducing solar heat gain in summer and retaining heat in winter.

Will it make my house cold in the winter?

Most of us who live in Arizona have window film on our cars.  So if you do, ask yourself if the film makes your car colder in the winter --- majority of you will say "no".
Window film does not cool a home; window film stops heat at the glass therefore it does not allow as much heat into the home so your A/C does not have to work as hard.
Our EnerLogic film works as a Low-E film, which not only stops 74% of the heat gain in the summer, but also keeps in your radiant heat in the winter, so if you do run your heat, you won't worry about it escaping through your windows.

How much money will I save?

The amount of money you can save by installing window film for your home can be anywhere between 10-45%.  Why the difference?  There are many variables involved including how much you cool your home, which way your home is facing, and if you have any additional shading (trees, awnings, etc).  To find out how much you can save, click here!
